No, I didn’t stop my Ancients activities and here’s definitive proof, some new Ancient Germans, painted for the Round 6 of the LPL. Admittedly, it hasn’t become my best entry in this season, actually one of the weakiest as due to lack of time I didn’t create a story as I’m usually trying to do,… Read more »
After a long time without updates, six months to be precise, I’m back at my workbench and my painted Ancients collection is further growing. I’m participating in the Lead Painters League of Lead Adventure Forum and will try to paint some new stuff for this event. For the first week of LPL I’ve decided to go with some Germans,… Read more »
The last days weren’t as productive as I would have liked them to be. Mainly due to perfoming of some private obligations and reading of Simon Scarrow’s “Under The Eagle”. A good book, really. I’ve got a village for my Germans! Cudos to Lt.Hazel (on LAF), the houses were completely his work (building and painting!), thanks Jan!
A German lad today, a spearman, Black Tree Design again, armed with a spear borrowed from Ral Partha Fantasy warrior and a shield that I’m not able to assign. Probably another fantasy figure. And another group shot of the new German gang, all of them in winter dress.
Another Black Tree Design German. Now back to the painting desk, another Roman is holding on there.
Another bold guy from the tribe of Cherusci. Miniature manufactured by Black Tree. Btw, some scale comparison Black Tree Design vs. Foundry, just if you wonder…from left to right – BTD, Foundry, BTD , Foundry, Foundry
Very unfriendly guy. I think I could use him as chief, too. Another Mark Copplestone’s sculpt from wonderful Wargames Foundry Ancient Germans range. I’ve bought about 300 of them ten years ago, by now painted about 50 of them..a long way to go still..
Here comes Hildegar, der Speerkämpfer, a German warrior from the feared tribe of Cherusci. I just love this figure, being quite calm but yet having some great character. It’s a Black Tree Design miniature, 28mm.
These riders are a part of my current Ancient Germania project. Actually the last part for the time being, the rest of the German gang it’s there – click. I’ve bought these Foundry cavalry blister about 10 years ago, being a fanboy of Copplestone’s sculpting work and never gave up the hope to paint them one day…. Read more »
